After 110 years, Boy Scouts of America began allowing the formation of girl troops February 1, 2019. The girls of BSA Troop #465 chartered February 22, 2019 at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, making it the one of the first girl troops serving the Triad. With an experienced leadership team committed to the development of our Scouts, Troop #465 provides Great opportunities for young ladies in Northwest Guilford and is always welcoming new members.
All female youth ages 11-17 are eligible to join and 5th graders become eligible March 1, even at 10 years of age. All girls with a desire to learn, lead, and get outside are encouraged to join us. Cub Scouting is also available to elementary school girls and younger sisters through our sister Cub Pack 130.
What is Scouts BSA?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program with the same curriculum for boys and girls providing fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. In Scouts BSA, your child will go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else. There are 135 different merit badges available to earn as scouts progress through eight rank advancements to reach Eagle Scout- all while developing leadership skills, exploring the outdoors and making life-long friends.
