Serving young women of the Triad. Meeting at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church Sundays at 4PM.
After 110 years, Boy Scouts of America began allowing the formation of girl troops February 1, 2019. The girls of BSA Troop #465 chartered February 22, 2019 at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, making it one of the first girl troops serving the Triad. With an experienced leadership team committed to the development of our 16 very enthusiastic new scouts, Troop #465 is off to a great start and welcoming new members.
Scouts BSA is a year-round program with the same curriculum for boys and girls providing fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. In Scouts BSA, your child will go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else. There are 135 different merit badges available to earn as scouts progress through eight rank advancements to reach Eagle Scout- all while developing leadership skills, exploring the outdoors and making life-long friends.
ADVENTURE - LEADERSHIP - SERVICE - PERSONAL GROWTH
